We send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to former player Richie Lewis. He has recently undergone a double heart by pass procedure at Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
Richie is well remembered for his playing talent as an utility threequarter for the club, adapting with ease at either stand off, centre or full back. He was also a very adept kicker, both out of hand or place kicking at goal.
He played for the Red & Blacks Youth, Druids and 1st XV before his career was unfortunately brought to a premature end due to the onset of rheumatoid arthritis.
Richie is an avid supporter of the club and regurlarly present at Athletic Park. We look forward to seeing him return to good health and to Johnstown in the near future.
